Welcome to the South Malahat Community 4-H Club page!
We are part of the South Malahat District, comprising all areas of Saanich, Sidney, and Victoria. Our club provides an opportunity for rural AND urban kids, ages 9 to 19, to be involved in 4-H, through both animal projects and non-animal projects. It doesn't matter how big your yard is - there IS a project for you!
The South Malahat Community 4-H Club currently offers the Rabbit and Cay projects.
Our club is active in many community events and participates in the following 4-H activities: public speaking, demonstrations, speak and shows, judging rallys, and educational displays. The highlight of our year is participation in the Saanich Fair, held each year on Labour Day, where members have the opportunity to show their projects and record books to the public. In addition to that our club has regular meetings at the Prospect Lake Community Hall, where members learn to conduct business meetings in addition to learning more about their various projects.
